Annual Labor Day 40K Apocalypse Game

Every Labor Day the Jesse Pica runs a Warhammer 40K Apocalypse battle here at the Wizard’s Wall.  Each player brings all he has; no point limit.  This year was the best battle yet.  We started right at noon and played until 9:30 PM and played a full four rounds.

The Battlefield was set up with the Tyranids attacking from the South and Orks with their Chaos Space Marine allies attacking from North.  In the Center the Imperial Guard, Space Marines and Eldar defend.from well fortified positions.

In the pictures below you will see 7 objective markers, in the form of poker chips.  2 markers in the North, 1 in the South and 4 in the Center.  At the end of each round the side closest to the markers gains a victory point.  Victory points can also be gained by destroying super heavies and Gargantuants.

To add some extra Orkiness to the battle a giant Boomsday Rocket was set up.  Every round the Ork player rolled two dice.  On doubles it blasts off.

This year we had 6 players:

Justin Mehlich played Imperial Guard and Eldar.

Dilon Bell brought both his Chaos Space Marines and Orks.

Adam Wilborne and Gunter Schmal brought Space Marines.

Travis Ebling and Adam Bois played Tyranids.

The BOOMSDAY ROCKET was knocked off it’s mount during assault phase.  It paid off to deep strike the Dreadnoughts and Terminator squad back there.
